My Two cents on Portfolio Reviews
You know, I see quite a bit of portfolio on a regular basis, and even more so when I go to comic con and CTN.
This time around was the same thing, I saw quite a few portfolios. Some good ones and some that miss the mark.
There were a few in particular that caught my eye.. a few extremely good ones, and a few that just didn't work, and I wanted to try and share my opinions about portfolios in general.
This is just my point of view, based on MY experience and definitely not a definitely law, rule, or "must do". Just what I noticed in many student's and young professional's portfolios.

I have decided to bite the bullet and join Patreon after seeing so many other artists on the site recently. I have been so busy working away at my Character Design class that I wasn't sure if it was the right time but I am used to producing art on a regular basis now even with maintaining my full time job so I figured why not give it a go, particularly since I have now purchased Camtasia Studio to make video tutorials once I reach my milestone goals.
If anyone would like to check out my page or, even better, help support me in my goal to turn my full time dream into my full time job please check out my page at https://www.patreon.com/DianeBi

Today I got an email to say unfortunately the October slots had been fille
Well I haven't been on here in a LONG time. My inbox is looking rather full. I haven't been doing so much painting recently but a few weeks ago I started taking a course in Illustrating Children's Books and am working towards putting together a portfolio to find illustration work. I'm kind of enjoying working with traditional tools again but it can be pretty intimidating when you've got that blank sheet of paper in front of you and you know there's no 'undo' button if you make a mistake. It's always nice to have a new challenge though. Hopefully I'll be finished by the end of the year and I might be able to start getting some work.
Hey! I run a prompt group here on dA, and we recently had a Harry Potter prompt. I'd love to see one of your awesome HP portraits in the group, if you'd like to submit it! And if any of the other prompts spark your interest, I'd love to see that too
